{FIVE ON FRIDAY}

Hello Friday, It's nice to see you again! Here are my 5 on Friday favorites.

{ONE}

THIS HAPPENED! I don't think I have ever seen my Husband soo excited. It was definitely the most intense game I have ever seen.

{TWO}

I love fall and I want to do all of these things! Plus camping!

{THREE}

This show. I cry every time I watch it.

{FOUR}

This $2.50 shampoo has become my new favorite! I normally use Biolage but got this in a pinch while traveling one weekend and absolutely loved it.

{FIVE}

Walmart has an app that after you shop, you can scan the barcode on your receipt.  Walmart will search local stores for lower prices. It takes about 3 days but if they do find lower prices, they add the money to your Walmart app.You can then redeem the eGift card right on your phone.

How awesome is that? Plus you can still comp and use coupons! So far I have scanned 2 receipts and got back $2.84. Not alot but better than nothing.

Linking up today with Lauren for High Five on Friday and Amanda for Friday Favorites. Happy Friday!

Confessional Friday: {Link Up}

I’m linking up with Leslie at A Blonde Ambition for her Confessional Friday link up! I just realized I haven't posted anything in a month. Oops! I've been busy being Super Mom!

1.) I confess that I am really enjoying my Human Relations class I am taking this semester. We are reading Dale Carnegie books which are very inspiring to me. It basically common sense stuff but it's good to have a refresher course on how people think and act.

2.) I confess that I am loving Essential Oils! I just bought a diffuser and a few essential oils. I diffuse the eucalyptus oil in Reggie's room at night to help prevent his asthmatic cough he gets. I also rub the eucalyptus oil with coconut oil on his chest and the bottom of his feet. He loves it! I'm looking forward to learning more and adding to my collection of oils.

3.) I confess that I made the best Crock Pot Roast ever this week. Here is the link to the recipe. Crock Pot Roast.  Soo easy and very flavorful.

Our favorite Pot Roast recipe - just stick in the crock pot!

4.) I had a blast at the One Direction concert in St. Louis last month! Seriously thought it would be torture with about a million screaming girls but it ended up being a blast.  Here are a few pics

Off to St. Louis!

Had to get a Mother/Daughter pic

The girls were like this the whole concert!

CONFESSIONAL FRIDAY: {LINK UP}

Wow! What a week!  First week back to school is always a crazy one. The kids seem to be loving their teachers and classes so that's a plus. Here is a pic of them from the first day of school.

Now time for my favorite thing on Friday! The Friday Confessional link up with Leslie from A Blonde Ambition.

1.) I confess that I'm not good at writing papers. I have a paper due on Sunday for my Human Relations class and I find myself not knowing where to start. I just stare at my computer screen totally blank. I know what I just read and I understand it, I just have problems writing about it. I'm sure after this one I will get the hang of it again.

2.) I confess that next week is going to be crazy! Monday-Volleyball game in Huntsville, Tuesday-Volleyball game here, Wednesday-One Direction concert in St. Louis, Thursday-Travel home from St. Louis and volleyball game in Mountain Home. Eek! Note to self: Buy earplugs for St. Louis

3.) I confess that I LOVE Taylor Swift's "SHAKE IT OFF" song and video! She is just too cute. I took Katelynn to one of her concerts a few years ago and have been a huge fan since then.  Haters gonna hate.

CONFESSIONAL FRIDAY: {LINK UP}

I love doing the Confessional Friday link up with Blonde Ambition! This week has been an especially busy week. Lots of back to school events and trying to catch up at work from being gone all week last week. Sooo I'm ready for the weekend!!

1.) I confess that I have not done any back to school shopping for the kids. No school supplies. Not a thing. Needless to say you will know what I will be doing this weekend.

2.) I confess that I haven't been to the gym at all this week. And it's killing me. I can tell a major difference in my energy when i go to the gym vs not going. Hopefully Monday I will be back on track.

3.) I confess that I'm not ready for school to start back just yet. Well obviously since I haven't bought any back to school stuff. But really, I'm going to miss staying up late with the kids. I just get more time with them in the Summer. Oh and I'm going to miss sleeping in the extra 45 minutes in the mornings.

4.) I confess that I'm still going to school myself. I start back Monday too. I'm taking a Human Relations class this semester so hopefully it won't be too bad. Slowly but surely I will have my degree finished.

5.) I confess that I'm addicted to Gossip Girl. Apparently the show started in 2007 but I hadn't even heard about it until I found it on Netflix about a month ago.

Destin

Last week we enjoyed a wonderful family vacation at the beach in Destin Florida.

We spent one day at the Naval Museum in Pensacola Florida. We planned our trip there on a day when the Blue Angels were practicing. It was amazing!

Every morning consisted of a trip to Destin Commons Starbucks(less than a mile from our condo) for my favorite drink and then to the beach!

Weekend Recap

Wow! Where did the weekend go?

Friday night I spent 4 hours getting all of my Rhea Lana items tagged and priced. Attention Moms: If your kids have outgrown their clothes, Rhea Lana is the place to sell them.Their website explains everything. It's super easy. This will be my 3rd time consigning.

Saturday was Lake day with the family. We love our Lake days. It's soo peaceful and fun at the same time. We rode this Hot Dog for the first time this weekend. The kiddos even got me on it. And yes I'm very sore today. I ended up doing somersaults off that thing and pretty sure I have internal bruising lol Good times though. Reggie enjoyed me riding it with him. Not sure I'll ever get back on that thing again.

Kids on the Hot Dog

Family time just chillin

Sunday we went to Mtn Home to drop off my Rhea Lana items. I love the fact that I just drop off the clothes and I never have to worry with them again. I watch my sales online live too! The items that don't sell will be donated. Super easy. After we dropped off the items Marcie took us to Chili's to eat. I ordered the Mango Chile Chicken. Wow! Probaly one of the best meals I have ordered from a restaurant. I went straight to Google and found a copy cat recipe. I'm going to make it when we get back from vacation.

Not my personal pic but it looks exactly like my plate today

Here is a link to the copy cat recipe. Chili's Mango Chile Chicken  Can't wait to try it out!

CONFESSIONAL FRIDAY: {LINK-UP}

I have really been wanting to do the Friday Confessional link with Blonde Ambition soo here ya go:

1.) I confess that on Monday I wore my Piko backwards until 3 p.m. How did I not notice this before then? I don't have a clue.

2.) I confess that I am really looking forward to Destin next week but I'm a little scared of the Fox Headline news lately. Fox News Flesh Eating Bacteria Really?!

3.) I confess that I have been neglecting my blog lately. I really need to work on at least posting once a week.

4.) I confess that we haven't had cable since February and we don't miss it at all. We now have Netflix and Hulu Plus. And our favorite shows like Pretty Little Liars, we use our laptop to stream it on our tv. This saves alot of money!

5.) I confess that this has been the longest week and I'm soo happy its Friday!! Lake tomorrow!

6.) I confess that I really want a new blog name but can't think of one. Help!

Weekend in review

Our weekend started off great! Kevin and I took off work Friday to float the Buffalo River. We normally kayak but decided to take a canoe. This was my first ever float trip in a canoe. I have to say that it was fun because I really didn't have to paddle or anything but I really missed my kayak.

We spent most of the day fishing. The fishing was not good at all but I did manage to catch a few.

Saturday

Saturday morning was busy. I woke up and headed to Farmer's Market on the square to load up on some garden goodies. After that I headed home to make pancakes for the family. I also made homemade salsa and cookies. Reggie helped me bake the cookies and he even made this huge cookie.

I made the salsa that Leslie from Blonde Ambition posted to her blog.  It was my first time to ever make salsa. It will not be my last either. The only downfall to making fresh salsa with garden veggies is that I eat the whole jar myself. Yeah I made this Saturday morning and it was gone by Sunday night. Here is the link to Leslie's blog in case you need a good salsa recipe. http://www.blondeambitionblog.com/

The kids went to the Springfield Cardinal baseball game Saturday evening with their Papa Bill and Uncle Jordan. The Cardinals won 8 to 0. Reggie says "The Cardinals whooped The Naturals pants off". While the kiddos were at the game Kevin and I enjoyed an afternoon out by the pool.

Sunday Funday

Sunday started off with a trip to Daisy Queen for ice cream. Then we headed to the River for a picnic lunch. River was a little too muddy due to the rain so we didn't stay long.

Soo we packed up and headed to the pool!

A day in the life of .... ME

My Thursday!

5:22 a.m. - Wake up time for me today. I had my alarm set for 5:15 a.m. and was actually up and out of bed at 5:22 a.m. This my friends is a new record. I normally hit snooze for at least 30 minutes. Normally this is the time I flip through Instagram, Twitter and Facebook but no time for that today.

5:23 a.m. - First thing I do when I get up is turn Pandora on the Roku. It is set to Today's hits this week. This helps get me going. Next is shower time.

5:30 a.m. - Wake Katelynn up. Yep! 5:30 a.m. on a summer day. She is playing volleyball in Huntsville today. The bus is leaving the HS gym at 6:30 a.m. so she has to be there by 6:15 a.m..

5:32 a.m - Fold clothes that are in the dryer from the night before. I do this pretty much every morning. Now I get ready except my hair. I try and let my hair air dry for as long as possible.

5:55 a.m. - Time to leave house. We have to stop by ATM to get money for Katelynn and then McD's for Katelynn's favorite breakfast which is Biscuits and Gravy with a Dr. Pepper. Beautiful morning!!

6:13 a.m. - Drop off Katelynn and head back home to finish getting ready and get Reggie up and half way ready.

7:20 a.m. - Leave house for work. But first I gotta stop by Neighbor's Mill for a white chocolate mocha. This is much needed today.Then my next stop is Grandma Marcie and Papa's house to drop Reggie off. Reggie and Katelynn stay there during the summer while I work.

7:40 a.m. - Start work day. My goal for the morning is to get all of my emails caught up before lunch. I won't bore you with work details. Just alot of spreadsheets etc..

9:29 a.m.- Get Lync message from my Husband asking me if I want to take the day off tomorrow to go floating. I don't even have to think about my response back to him! YES!! Soo looks like today is officially my Friday!!

11:22 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Lunch break. This includes my gym time. I go to the gym almost everyday on my lunch break. It is really the best time that works for my schedule with the kids activities and all. It's almost impossible to go after work. I spend 10 minutes on my target area then 20 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical.  I live close to work and the gym so I have time to swing by the house for a quick bite to eat. Kev normally has a turkey burger and rice waiting on me or we just eat left overs. Yep he is pretty awesome like that.

12:31 p.m. - 5:00 - Back to work. My goal this afternoon was to get the paperwork off my desk. I like to have a clean desk come Monday mornings.

4:37 p.m. - Katelynn won all of her games but one. Here are a couple of pics I stole from another Mom's facebook page - Thanks Kelly! I hate that I couldn't make it to the games today but it was soo nice to see pics of them online.

5:00 p.m. - I'm freeee!! Time to head home but first there has been this Pinterest project that I have been dying to do so I went to Home Depot for the supplies.  Here is the pinterest link to the project http://www.pinterest.com/pin/233694668139123701/

5:33 p.m.  - Home. And of course I wanted to start on my project right away. And big shout out to my wonderful Husband for helping me with the Hog outline. I really should have took pics of the whole process. WPS!!!

                                        This was my goal:

This is my final product:

6:20 p.m. - Finished with project! That took no time at all. Now I have this cute blanket to take to beach, picnic or tailgate party!

6:30 p.m. - Katelynn is on the bus headed back home from Huntsville. Both her and Reggie ask to stay the night with their grandparents. I give in since Kev and I are going floating early in the a.m.

6:30 p.m. - 10:22 p.m. - eat dinner. laundry. kitchen clean up. RELAX

10:22 p.m. - Bedtime

xoxo
